When it was about time to name our Berlin platform, minimum effort required us to come up with our label, designundbau, which translates to “design and construction” in German, simply because it is what we are conducting for many years internationally.

Our brand aims not only to make a first impression, where you could immediately understand the nature of our business, but at the same time, that we are dealing with the complete process, from designing the suitable solution to your specific needs, all the way up to production and the delivery thereof.

We are keen on maintaining a good balance between the desires of our clients and sine qua non design principles. In each project after defining the requirements of the users to their finest details, the endless possibilities of concepts, styles and materials necessitates us to narrow down the alternatives while developing the best possible output within the budgetary limitations.

However, not everything can be foreseen, despite studying all variables beforehand. It is a well-known phenomenon, that unexpected technical difficulties popping up along the way. Time-critical actions need to be taken on many levels simultaneously. Plans change, a substitute material is being ordered, a finished furniture needs to be modified or redone.
